WOW! Venerable Thubten Chodron is visiting SP!

Dear brothers & sisters of the Dharma,

Venerable Thubten Chodron is visiting SP Buddhist Society on 9 April 2008(Wednesday), and you, fellow brothers & sisters of the Dharma are cordially invited to this very special and rare occasion.

For your information, Venerable Thubten Chodron is a very prominent Tibetan Buddhist nun which is known for her work in re-establishing the Bhikshuni lineage, creating Dharma outreach in prisons, and she teaches the Dharma worldwide. Her teaching emphasizes practical application of Buddhist practices in daily life and she is respected for making them easily understood and practiced by Westerners. You may like to know more about her via various books such as “Open Heart, Clear Mind,”"Buddhism for Beginners,” “Taming the Mind,”“Working with Anger,” and “How to Free your Mind: Tara the Liberator.”

Besides that, she was once a spiritual advisor in SP Buddhist Society. Due to her affiliation, she will be visiting our club on 9 April. It is an honor to invite her down to give us a talk and blessings on “Kamma & Skilful Actions".

Excellent way to advertise the activity by harnessing the power of the Internet. I appreciate the host for putting up the club's activities on the internet. It would be great if you were to add in more details of the venue as stated in the post. It seems rather vague... See ya:)
